This Sunday the 21st why not pop along to Malton to try Britain's Tastiest 10K, its Malton's 10K. It's sure to be a great day out whether you are a runner or spectator, with music, entertainment and food on offer.
Staying in Malton, at the Milton Rooms on Saturday 20th at 7.30pm, Kemp Books present the author, Jamie Walton, who is an ecological horticulturist and conservationist, based in North Yorkshire. He is in conversation with David Herbert, a chance to know more about his Sunday Times Best Seller, Nettles and Petals. If you watch Gardeners World you may have seen him in the amazingly situated kitchen garden near Sands end.
For all you dog lovers out there, Ryedale Dog Rescue are holding a fund raising event at Wintringham Village Hall on Saturday 20th. Join them at 2.30pm for afternoon tea and a glass of prosecco.
This coming Sunday at the Barbican in York is the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir, who are celebrating 100 years of the The York Philharmonic male voice choir, or the "Phil" as they are affectionately known.

Filey will be hoping for wind this weekend as they are holding their Filey Kite Festival at Filey Brigg Country park. It is a free event and promises a weekend of spectacular kite displays.

At the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough this weekend see Freakier Friday in their cinema or in the theatre, Alan Ayckbourn's latest play, Earth Angel, which is running until the 11th October.
